We're Daniel & Patti AngelsAgrarian. Helen and Scott Nearing were our mentors in the 1970's, (yes, we are baby boomers). We started our homestead (located north of Spokane, WA) in 1990 with goals of becoming food and energy self-reliant and also to sell organic produce from our farm stand. We've arrived age-wise to where we are seriously seeking others to take over for us to eventually leave our homestead and everything on it to capable community people before we make our transitions. As housing available right now, we have a travel trailer available to next to a year around stream. Or, for someone who enjoys housekeeping and elder care open to sharing our home, we also have a spare bedroom available. Both of these would in exchange for helping us out in living this lifestyle and to cover rent and utilities. We're set up really well in our food and energy self-reliant lifestyle, so we only have to work no more than four hours a day, five days a week to get necessary things done in this lifestyle. We all would be working together, and during this time as helpers you would be learning new and valuable homesteading skills from us. The positions we offer are available this coming spring.
